Sky Projects − DSTV dish removal project

This project was not complex or costly, but required a lot of supervision and consultation with the tech and residents.

Many phone calls to arrange site visit and quote with the tech.

Much consultation with the residents, to keep them informed, and find out if they were still using DSTV.

On site consultation with the tech, as he traced cables and tested installations, and requested permission to remove dishes.

A mandatory safety briefing was arranged before working at heights.

Cars had to be moved at one stage

Total cost summary:

Tech fee for 2 days spent on site R6000

Project manager fee for 2 hrs per day @ R250 per hr R1000

Can a BC afford to use a project manager? Absolutely, this does not have to be the responsibility of a trustee or caretaker!
